Short brief from my limited understanding

बिना तत्व दरसी हुए तत्व के बारे में नहीं बोलना चाहिए|

This life (human life) has 4 shortcomings:

This will make mistakes,

Thinks of these material things as real,

To cheat others, and,

Our senses are incomplete.

Krishna himself says in bhagwat gita, this teaching should be passed on in guru shisya parampara. One should learn about Jiv (soul) through guru shisya parampara.
When we the people go astray from our real purpose of life, god takes birth on this planet, and to protect the sadhus/ saints and to kill the demons and to liberate them.

Prabhupada ji is quoting the shlokha:

यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत।
अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम् ॥४-७॥

परित्राणाय साधूनां विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम् ।
धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय सम्भवामि युगे युगे ॥४-८॥

God is one, but it will be understood by different people based on their thoughts and mind. Whoever tries to understand god through his intelligence will reach the level of Braham Joyti (small spiritual sparks). And those who try to understand him (God) through his heart will attend to the ultimate god.
Also, those who are trying to see god will reach a certain level but the devotees, or we can say the real devotees will understand God without much effort.

Example: Sun, Those who have not seen the sun, will say there is no planet like sun. those who have seen it from afar will say it is like a shining star. But for those who know exactly what is sun, they will understand its importance without much effort. Another example in audio is of a mountain from a far distance.

Those who are intellectual knows that the ultimate purpose of this life is to bow down in front of god.

ब्रह्म भगवान की अग्नि ज्योति के समान है| The sun and its sunshine are just a part of god.
The devotees try to help us to understand god but we ignore it because of our cheap mind. This is unfortune for us that we accept anyone in this material world as a god. if he is well dressed and maintained, we like his appearance and accept him as a god. despite, he is a cheater we accept him, but we reject the real god.
We have to work harder to understand God, it is not easy. We have to understand the god first, than understand the concept of Tatava jigyasa. The importance of human souls. That which moves inert matter is the soul. For example, our body. Our body is moving because it has a life.
This life is jiv (Soul), it is smallest of the smallest but it has so much power that it runs our body. A big elephant is moving because of the jiv in its body. As this jiv will leave the body, the elephant will be dead.
Similarly, we should take knowledge from God. Whatever the lord has declared is real knowledge. he knows our past, present and future.
The only difference is god never forgets anything but we do. we are not even able to recall the incident that happened 2 hours ago or 2 days ago, but god knows everything. e.g. if we want to know about our grandfather or forefather we will get the real information from our father.
similarly god is our real father and he knows everything. We can’t expect ourselves to have full knowledge with our limited capacity.

ओम नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय!

Sholoka No:152

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is teaching Roop Goswami.

Roop Goswami resigned from his government job, against the will of the king. He had enough money at that time approx. 10,000 gold coins and few more items, he had so much money that he took two boats to carry his money and other valuable items.
But, to serve god, he left everything. He distributed half of it (50%) among people, 25% among relatives and keep rest 25% for future challenges which he was expecting, because he has resigned against the will of the king. He paid that to free Sanatan Goswami from jail.
After travelling millions of life and birth cycles, one takes birth as a devoted human. So, if one has received the seed of devotion, he is fortunate and he should nurture it properly so that it grows.
So, How will it grow? The Answer is :

The seed of devotion will grow in devotees associations,

By listening about god, singing and dancing for god, and

By serving god

Attending mangla arti (aarti at 4:30 AM) in the temple,

Going to the temple at least once a week etc.

This is very important if we want to grow our seed of devotion. Also this is not that we are listening this for the first time, but we somewhat ignore it.
It is not enough to only have the seed of devotion, but one should work behind it to grow it and nurture it.
Taking interest in God’s name is nothing but directly taking interest in god himself.
If we do not take an interest in God, then we will be distract in other negative work. This negative work will destroy the seed of devotion.
Also, one should avoid vaisnava appraadh, i.e. crimes against devotees. this will destroy your entire farming – seeds of devotion.
We must respect everyone. Give respect and Protect yourself from vaisnava appraadh.
So, How we should protect ourselves from vaisnava appraadh?

No ego is a solution. Look for the positive side and ignore the flaws. Feel like the most fallen person. Inculcate this in your behavior.

How can we make Vaisnava relationship sweeter? First we should understand the importance and value of listening and Singing (Kirtan) for the god, Praising the lord. This will help us to grow our seed of devotion.

But it has to be noted that if we are not careful in this path of devotion, we will fall down. We should avoid any kind of dosa (Apraadh).

Bow down to each other, Unite with God, Look for positive side and if you find any negative side, do not ignore it but try to understand him. We should avoid Vaisnava crime.

Maharaj ji is quoting a story of Amogha and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, because Amogha disrespected Mahaprabhu he got life killing disease.

Amogha and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu

Mahaprabhu went to see him, placed his hand on this heart and told him that until you will not destroy envy from the heart you will not feel good. Unless you do not remove dirt from your mind and heart, you will not find the god. This is the same as if your house is dirty, do you feel good about it? No.
We should try to encourage each other to progress in devotion. Unity in diversity. Once we are united we are strong. and once we support each other we will all qualify to go back to God’s head.
Therefore we should try to avoid envy, ego, any negative thoughts etc. Think of yourself as the most fallen. This will help you to look at others on the upper hand. This positivity will make the entire environment positive and beautiful. We do not need wealth or big properties or money to make this happen, what we need is pure thoughts, pure environment and pure behavior.

Bhaktiyog, Bagwat Gita 12.9, (20-12-1998). New Delhi

Lecture by HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja Lecture

It is not possible to think of god every time. Not even 1 hour or 2 hours is possible. Thinking about god is the third step in bhakti yoga. We can’t think of anyone if we are not familiar with their personality. So before thinking of god all the time, we must follow step 1 and step 2 of bhakti yoga to reach step three.

Step 1 is Sarvana (Listening about god)

Step 2 is Kirtanam (singing or preaching about the god)

Than we can reach at the level of Step 3 i.e. Think of god.

This is possible only through bhakti yoga.

In this world everyone is serving someone, if you are a working professional, you are serving in office because you are getting paid. As soon as you leave that job not emotion or attachment to the work place or the boss. Therefore this is not true attachment or love. This is selfishness.

But love for god is the true attachment. It is true love. And bhakti can be achieved through love. Love for god. Think of god. Do something for god. Serve god, spread his message, follow his instructions, preach about god, take and enjoy Prasadam. Any food offer to god became prasadam. (Excluding onion garlic). It is the mercy of god.

Prepare food for god, serve the idol of God, dedicate everything to god. Try to make God happy. This will increase our spiritual intelligence. This will help you to identify what is worth and what is worthless. What is true and what is false? Without proper knowledge and good intelligence we will not be able to make your life meaningful.

Do, association of devotees, spreading the message of god is what makes you progress in Bhakti. Lord Krishna himself declares in bhagwat gita that whoever tells people about him (God) he is the most lovable to him.

If you follow the instructions given by God then only you will progress in your spiritual journey. Though it is not like that Maya will not distract you in the entire journey. But those who are dedicated and follow the instruction strictly he will progress and will be saved by the side effects of Maya (illusion)
